Wildlife Field Conservation
Spending 120 hours in Wang Lang National Nature Reserve introduced me to wildlife monitoring, field research, and the challenges of conservation.

Learning Conservation Beyond the Classroom
In July 2025, I participated in the Panda Habitat Conservation Program at Wang Lang National Nature Reserve in Sichuan. Over 120 hours, I worked alongside conservation rangers to learn about wildlife monitoring and the practical challenges of protecting natural habitats. Moving from classroom-based learning into the field allowed me to experience a different side of biological research.
During the program, I helped deploy infrared cameras, participated in night patrols, and recorded bird vocalizations as part of a Fudan University field research program. These activities introduced me to the patience and careful observation required in fieldwork. Spending time in a natural environment also helped me understand the importance of collecting reliable information about wildlife and its habitats. The experience strengthened my appreciation for biodiversity and showed me how scientific research can support conservation efforts.
